Citizen West 10 Named CoStar Impact Award Winner as Denver’s 2023 Multifamily Development of the Year
Winners were selected by a panel of more than 750 esteemed industry professionals across 128 markets at the second annual commercial real estate awards
Quarterra is proud to announce that Citizen West 10 was named the 2023 Multifamily Development of the Year CoStar Impact Award winner in the Denver market. Citizen is among an elite group of winners — chosen for growth, diversification, and ability to overcome unique challenges — selected by a panel of more than 750 industry professionals drawn from each respective market.
Citizen, a high-rise community in Denver’s historic Golden Triangle neighborhood — the city’s hub for art, culture and civic institutions — features 393 luxury apartment homes and townhomes. Residents are just steps from art museums and galleries, history museums and Civic Center Park. With spectacular mountain and city views, Citizen positions residents to take in the best that the city and region have to offer.
Quarterra is committed to infusing energy into the resurging the Golden Triangle neighborhood. Once best known as the home of the Denver City Jail, and heavily scraped to accommodate overflow parking for adjacent downtown, the Golden Triangle is finally coming into its own. Spearheaded by Citizen and development partnerships for neighboring properties, Quarterra is reshaping not only the lifestyle opportunities but the social and economic outlook for the long-neglected neighborhood.
Signature amenities at Citizen include a rooftop pool and spa on the 17th floor, a two-story 2,500-square-foot fitness facility with hot yoga and spin studios, multiple clubrooms and outdoor parks, and a sky lounge with views of the mountains and downtown. Energy-minded homes include smart thermostats, LED fixtures, USB outlets, smart shades on floor-to-ceiling windows, reflective glass and built-in mud rooms. Not included on prospective resident tours is a hidden speakeasy – complete with a disguised door with a secret handle built into the wall to access the residents-only lounge – in tribute to Denver’s gold rush/prohibition era.
The CoStar Impact Awards recognize exemplary commercial real estate transactions and projects completed in 2022 that have significantly influenced neighborhoods or submarkets across 128 major international markets in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Now in its second year, the awards honored more than 400 winners for their CRE transactions across five categories: Lease of the Year; Sale/Acquisition of the Year; Commercial Development of the Year; Multifamily Development of the Year; and, Redevelopment of the Year.
“We’re grateful for the chance to recognize the accomplishments of noteworthy real estate projects and transactions across the industry,” said Andy Florance, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CoStar Group. “As the industry continues to evolve, real estate professionals have adapted and contributed immensely to the neighborhoods they serve through innovative projects and community-driven initiatives.”
