LMC’s 17th & Broadway Among San Francisco Business Journal’s 2019 Real Estate Deals of the Year

LMC bet big and won.

That’s how the San Francisco Business Journal frames it, anyway, in recognizing LMC’s 17th & Broadway among the publication’s Real Estate Deals of the Year for 2019. The Biz Journal claims LMC “won” by betting big on the potential of the emerging Oakland market.

"Towering over downtown Oakland, 17th & Broadway shimmers as one of the tallest buildings ever to grace the city’s skyline," wrote the Biz Journal, which termed the 34-story community "a world-class luxury residence" and one that offers "a range of curated amenities for professionals seeking a respite from the urban bustle below."

The 254-unit, mixed-use community sits at 447 17th Street in Downtown Oakland and boasts panoramic views of Lake Merritt and the surrounding Downtown area.

LMC developed the community in collaboration with architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz and incorporated an array of distinctive features, such as brass accents, newspaper-themed wallpaper in the mailroom and a large public art feature from Oakland artist David Huffman.

The Biz Journal also alluded to 17th & Broadway’s vast array of community amenities, including “sparkling pools on a sunlit roof deck, a climbing wall in the gym and a barber shop-themed dog wash.”

17th & Broadway, which offers one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, began leasing in late summer 2019.
