Nimbus Dance Works

Nimbus Dance Works is a non-profit organization based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Nimbus focuses on the intersection between professional dance and innovative ways of engaging communities and audiences. Nimbus also operates the School of Nimbus providing dance education programs to youth from ages 2 to 17. Through the organization’s three interrelated fields - company, school, and presenting - Nimbus impacts over 16,000 people each year, and its education program serves 4,000 youths in Jersey City and across the state. As part of LMC’s first development in Jersey City, LMC is building Nimbus Dance a 14,500-sf arts center that includes a 150-seat black box theater located in LMC’s new building, The Lively. This arts center is vital to the revitalization of the once booming arts scene in Downtown Jersey City.
