Mary's Place

As a team in 2014, The LMC Pacific Northwest Division decided a priority should be giving back to the community. The team chose to focus on charitable activities for homeless families. Associates wanted to leverage their skills and resources to help struggling families, seeking help, to get off the street and into permanent housing. Mary’s Place has helped thousands of women and families move out of homelessness into more stable situations by providing safe, inclusive shelter and services that support them on their journey out of homelessness.

The Pacific Northwest team seeks opportunities throughout the year to volunteer time individually, as a team, and as a division, regularly including their own families. These events include clothing drives, hosting tables and fundraisers, volunteering at Mary’s Place day centers and working at their distribution center. The team has also helped fund raise for Mary’s Place by leveraging industry relationships to raise funds for Mary's Place No Child Sleeps Outside campaign each winter. Each year LMC utilizes an online fundraising page, which is shared with associates, vendors, contractors, consultants and friends asking them to consider a simple financial contribution to the team page, in lieu of sending a typical holiday gift basket. These additional donations from LMC associates and vendors brought our total donation to $32,234. LMC also provided leadership from the Pacific Northwest division to the NCSO committee and helped Mary’s Place raise $3,069,447 to help get families off the street and into stable housing.
