What is your official title and job description?
My title is Senior IT Applications Support Engineer and I am responsible for administrating multiple business applications for Quarterra, including Box and DocuSign, as well as the corporate-owned tablets.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is getting to work with new applications and the way that technology continues to rapidly evolve. There are always new things to learn or new applications that can help people be more efficient or effective in their jobs. I see IT as a service organization. I love helping people feel more comfortable with the applications or products that we use and working with individuals to get the most out of the programs we have in place.

What's your favorite Quarterra Core Value?
Pursue the Future” is my favorite core value because it is in sync with what I love about technology. Stay ahead of the curve and always be learning and implementing new ideas that better the company, better people or even improve the environment and world that we live in. Everything is constantly changing and to pursue the future we must be lifelong learners, always changing and developing ourselves and our company.

What are you most looking forward to in Quarterra's future?
I am excited about how Quarterra is positioned, continually growing yet staying true to the ideals that are engrained in the culture of Quarterra. The rebranding has been an exciting leap forward in that process and I am looking forward to what comes next.

Tell us about your background.
I have always been interested in technology and actually started working in IT when I was 15. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 and used the experience I already had to continue my IT career. My career has included jobs with oil companies, school districts, city governments, car dealerships, telecom companies, and now Quarterra. I have experience with a variety of applications and hardware, and have always been willing to try anything in the technology field, from installing cable to data analysis, managing devices or administering applications.

Where is the coolest place you have traveled and why?
My favorite trip was a week-long trip to Perrault Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was fairly remote, and we spent a week on Perrault Lake fishing mostly for walleye and northern pike. Lunch would be what we had caught in the morning, cooked fresh on a beach. It was relaxing with beautiful scenery.
