Associate Spotlight: Jason Shoufer, Community Manager

Jason Shoufer joined the LMC team as Assistant Community Manager of Tapestry Naperville and quickly stood out as a shining star! After being part of the successful lease up, he assisted at Tapestry Glenview before being promoted to Community Manager of The Brook on Janes. After a great year of lease up at The Brook, he then moved on to The Emerson as Community Manager where he currently is today!

In his time with LMC, this shining star has won the 2016 Crushing It award and the 2017 Community Manager of the Year. We are so proud and lucky to have Jason as part of the LMC family, always up for the next challenge and always supporting his teams! Let’s hear from Jason a little bit more of his experience and what he loves most about working for LMC!

What is your LMC story?

Though I have officially been with LMC since October of 2015, I feel like it has been since June of 2014. In June of 2014 I had the opportunity to be hired at one of LMC’s first multifamily communities in Illinois, Tapestry Naperville. At the time of hire, I interviewed with LMC but was officially hired and employed by a third-party management company who was managing Tapestry at the time. I quickly knew how great LMC was going to be as they were very much involved with the community. Then, in September of 2015 LMC was ready to manage their own assets and I was officially hired on with LMC in October of 2015. It has been nothing but joy ever since.

Tell us your favorite thing about working at LMC?

THE PEOPLE! LMC has really found a knack for hiring smart, good people. Everyone across the company that I have had a pleasure of meeting is fantastic. I will never forget from day one when we had new hire training, LMC sent help from our corporate office to man the leasing office while we had two days of training, and the welcoming we received and the help we received from everyone was like no other.

What's your favorite LMC Core Value?

What are you most looking forward to in LMC's future?

Being a part of the continued growth and success of LMC. Being able to work with such awesome teams, coworkers and mentors is truly something I look forward to daily.
