LMC’s first acquisition has earned a prestigious accolade.

Novel Stonewall Station, a contemporary apartment community recently acquired by LMC in Charlotte’s Uptown neighborhood, has been named the Top Mixed-Use Development by the Charlotte Business Journal as part of the publication’s Heavy Hitters Commercial Real Estate Awards.

The award was given on behalf of original developer Crescent Communities, which constructed the 459-unit, 19-story community in 2018. LMC’s acquisition of Novel Stonewall Station complements the company’s existing Charlotte portfolio, which also includes The Ellis (also in Uptown) and Bradham at New Bern (South End).

The CBJ selected winners in 11 categories based on developments completed between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 across the Charlotte area's 16-county region. The CBJ chose projects that contribute to the local business community and considered the design and economic impact of each, among other factors. Winners were announced at a ceremony on Oct. 18.

Novel Stonewall Station, located at 400 East Stonewall Street, offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes ranging as large as 2,563 square feet. Community amenities include an invisible-edge saltwater pool, rooftop beer garden, skyline fitness center, co-working lounge and a rooftop dog park.
