NAIOP Colorado Recognizes Citizen West 10 as the 2022 Multifamily Development of the Year
The awards keep coming for Citizen West 10 — Quarterra’s new 393 luxury apartment home, high-rise community in Denver’s historic Golden Triangle neighborhood.
NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) — the leading organization for developers, owners and related professionals in office, industrial and mixed-use real estate — named Citizen as Denver’s Multifamily Development of the Year during the Colorado Chapter Awards of Achievement celebration.
Citizen is the cornerstone of Quarterra’s ongoing effort, along with development partners, to revitalize the Golden Triangle — a neighborhood previously used primarily as overflow parking for adjacent downtown. Citizen includes multiple retail spaces and fronts a regional bike path, helping to bring traffic to the area and connect the community to Denver’s other economic and cultural centers.
The community includes 155 studios, 163 one-bedrooms and 75 two-bedroom homes. While homes average 781 square feet, the community features a wide range of floor plans, with living spaces ranging from 370 to 2,390 square feet, to accommodate a broad scope of income levels. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame majestic mountain views and cityscapes. Kitchens include custom pendant lighting above the islands, with quartz countertops, tile backsplashes and stainless-steel appliances. All homes come with plank flooring, spa-style bathrooms, expansive closet space and in-home washers and dryers. USB outlets and smart thermostats complete the modern feel.
In addition to the rooftop pool, sky lounge and state-of-the-art fitness center, residents also have access to grilling stations, an outdoor fitness lawn, two outdoor parks, a hot yoga room, sauna and indoor/outdoor clubroom with fireplace, kitchen, pool table and shuffleboard. The property caters to the active Colorado lifestyle with its bike shop, gear storage room, dog run and spa, and Grab n' Go station.
The leasing office was strategically moved to the alley side of the building, to give the larger retail space an optimal public-facing location along the 5280 Trail bike path – which was routed to showcase neighborhood culture. The leasing office will face a sister community currently under construction, helping to activate the alleyway as well.
Congratulations to the Citizen team and all of our trusted partners!
