Associate Spotlight: Laura Wallace, Training Director

Laura absolutely loves what she does at LMC. She has perviously served on the FCAA Board of Directors and Legislative Committee and currently is a member of AAGO and serves on their Legislative Committee. Landlord/Tenant Law thrills her (she’s weird that way) and truly enjoys being front and center in this ever changing industry.

Joining the LMC family in 2012, Laura is now on her 3rd LMC community as property manager* using her brilliant leadership to foster inspiration, collaboration, high-fives and a lot of laughs among her teams. Let’s hear from Laura a little bit more of her experience and what she loves most about working for LMC!

What is your LMC story?

I had the privilege of being called on to manage a LMC community being built in Jacksonville, FL in 2012, and I fell in love with everything about this Company immediately. Who says lightning doesn’t strike in the same place twice? In my world it certainly did, and when the opportunity presented with LMC in Orlando, FL, I did not hesitate selling our house, leaving behind 15 years and moving my family to catch that brass ring I knew LMC to offer.

In the beginning I was lucky enough to travel and help out until my first community was ready for me. Any question that I am a warm weather, Florida girl immediately diminished when I was snowed in (on my birthday) in Largo, Maryland!! Great times and even better experience though; loved it!!

Tell us your favorite thing about working at LMC?

THE CULTURE!! It doesn’t take long to realize you are on to something very special here. We are passionate people with like-minded agendas, working toward common goals in a positive, productive environment. Our Corporate Support truly values people on a personal level, and that makes even the most difficult days easier to bear.

What's your favorite LMC Core Value?

My favorite LMC Core Value: Strive for continuous improvement in an atmosphere of creativity, teamwork and trust. Those characteristics are essential to our success and when you work in an environment that fosters, supports and encourages it; the rest is easy.

What are you most looking forward to in LMC's future?

I am on my 3^rd Community built by this amazing Company, so the opportunity to continue leaving my fingerprint behind on absolutely gorgeous Communities, housing the best neighbors, surrounded by family-like teammates, is what I look forward to most at LMC.
