What is your official title and job description?

My title is Senior Accountant for Development Accounting and I support the California division.

What is your Quarterra story (how did you land at Quarterra)?

I started at Quarterra in June 2015 as an Accounting Intern. After completing an awesome summer internship, the California accounting team asked if I would be willing to continue working with them part-time while I went to college. Shortly after, I was promoted to Staff Accountant and graduated college. Since then, I have been working full-time and got promoted to Senior Accountant. I have truly gotten to grow up with the company, from celebrating my 21st birthday, to earning my bachelor’s degree, to being promoted, to recently getting married. The Quarterra family has been cheering me on through many of my life milestones!

Tell us your favorite thing about working at Quarterra?

My favorite thing about working at Quarterra is being able to support the development of beautiful communities. I love that every project is different, and I am always being challenged and learning new things. It is so rewarding to visit the communities and see what all your hard work has built!

What's your favorite Quarterra Core Value?

Like many of my colleagues, my favorite Quarterra core value is collaboration. I have loved collaborating with various teams over the years and have learned so much through our countless meetings, calls, and trainings. Our teams are always leaning on each other to make our communities the best they can be. This core value is what makes Quarterra such a great place to work!

What are you most looking forward to in Quarterra’s future?

I am most looking forward to watching Quarterra grow! From when I started eight years ago the company has already made so many achievements. From initiating more efficient processes to starting construction of new communities, Quarterra has already advanced so much. It has been really rewarding to be part of that growth and I am looking forward to the future!

Bio/Quarterra Accolades:

I was born and raised in Aliso Viejo, California, and currently live in Laguna Beach, California. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance. Growing up I never imagined myself being an accountant, but after taking a career finder quiz in college, I decided to give the intro accounting class a try. I ended up really enjoying it and have been dedicated to my career and development in accounting ever since! Prior to joining Quarterra, I worked for a Marriott hotel for 3 years, coincidentally that hotel is across the street from our Aliso Viejo division office. When I’m not crunching numbers, I enjoy going to the beach, reading, and doing Pilates and indoor cycling classes.
