In her four years at LMC, Natalie Jaynes has grown from a recent graduate exploring a job opportunity to one who has confidently embraced a career within the apartment industry. She has climbed the LMC ladder quite quickly, as well.
The University of Arkansas graduate started as a leasing professional in 2015, moved up to assistant property manager of The Briscoe (in Dallas) in 2016, and then joined the operations team as an Operations Support Specialist in November 2018.
As part of her journey, she was recognized as LMC’s 2015 Leasing Professional of the Year for her work at two Dallas communities: Crest at Park Central and Crest at Glencoe. Natalie misses the property management side of the business but is thriving in her new role. She recently took the time for a quick Q & A.
What is your official title and job description?
As an Operations Support Specialist, my day to day varies. I work with our wonderful property management associates, supporting LMC’s property management software. I also have the privilege of mentoring newly on-boarded communities. The diversity of job responsibilities keeps it interesting, but the best part is digging into and resolving issues.
What is your favorite part of the job you do?
Besides being part of the best team ever – seriously – I am constantly learning. When I learn a new way to do something, I’m able to share that with others and hopefully make their life easier. At the end of the day, I always feel accomplished and appreciated – and who wouldn’t love that!
What’s your biggest ‘aha’ moment in Property Management?
I fell into property management after college and loved leasing. It was a hard decision to make the move to a support role. However, I realized after joining the operations team that my passion was supporting my fellow teammates and building relationships. Becoming the onsite team’s “go to” was my aha moment where I knew I made the right choice.
What's your favorite LMC Core Value?
Help people – shocking, right?
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Mindreading would be a pretty convenient super power. While leasing, I would have known exactly what kind of home someone was looking for, and in operations, I could resolve issues before being asked!
LMC is a very special place to work, largely because of the special people who work here. Our company culture is infused with spirit, enthusiasm, passion, and vitality. Thank you for being an amazing example of that, Natalie!
Above all else, we are committed to quality, communication, and integrity. This applies to the communities we build and lease, and to the relationships we have with our residents and each other. Are you looking for amazing opportunities for career growth at one of America’s leading apartment developers? We are always growing and looking to add amazing people to our LMC teams!
