Associate Spotlight: Kate Simone, Digital Marketing Specialist

After a year as a digital marketing intern, Kate Simone had earned her official full-time, corporate title. Now LMC’s Digital Marketing Specialist, the recent University of Arkansas graduate is flourishing in her brisk day-to-day role.

The Dallas native, who relocated to Denver in May 2019, began her internship in June 2018 and is nearing her two-year mark within the LMC family. While she skillfully handles and excels at her role, she admits that keeping her houseplants alive is an entirely different challenge. She’s trying though.

Now that her studies are complete—she majored in marketing with a minor in data analytics—she has more time to concentrate on her hobbies of gourmet cooking, hiking with friends and listening to true crime podcasts. Here is a little more about our resourceful Digital Marketing Specialist:

What is your official title and job description? How long have you been with LMC?

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, I support the Regional Marketing Directors and Marketing Specialists with day-to-day website changes and performance analysis, conduct continuous quality assurance and assist with new community website launches. I started with LMC as a Digital Marketing Intern in the summer of 2018 and was ecstatic about the opportunity to be hired as a fulltime associate in June 2019.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

Having the opportunity to learn something new every day.

What has been the biggest challenge in your current role during this COVID time?

Keeping the community websites updated. I worked closely with our marketing team to make 150 changes in a single week to various sites. With virtual leasing being the only option right now, the community websites need to be performing perfectly.

What's your favorite LMC Core Value?

“We’re good people, let’s be good people together.” It’s always about the people here at LMC.

If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?

Teleportation—I would love to be able to go anywhere at any time. And avoid those airports!

What is the coolest place you've traveled and why?

While studying abroad in Rome, some friends and I took a trip to the Amalfi Coast. We ate bread and cheese and drank wine on the beach all weekend.
