Let’s learn more about Danielle and what drives her passion for people.

What is your official title and job description?

I am a Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Quarterra. I aid in the recruitment process by finding, interviewing, and hiring new Associates for a variety of departments, such as Accounting, Investments, and West Coast Construction/Development.

What is your Quarterra story (how did you land at Quarterra)?

In November of 2021, I was a recent graduate from Clemson University when I found a Quarterra job posting on LinkedIn. I contacted Kelly Welsh, a Quarterra Talent Acquisition Business Partner, about open positions and she recommended a Recruiting Coordinator role. After speaking with Kelly, Rachel Autwell, and Priscila Garcia, I immediately knew that Quarterra was where I was meant to be! In August 2022, I was promoted to Talent Acquisition Business Partner and continue to work hand-in-hand with Priscila, Kelly, and Rachel every day!

Tell us your favorite thing about working at Quarterra?

I love being able to meet new Associates before they start with Quarterra and watch them grow in their roles here! I take every opportunity to “brag” about our company during the interview process and get the pleasure of seeing their excitement when new Associates are offered a position here. Our company continues to grow with the best talent around and I am honored to play a part in that!

What's your favorite Quarterra Core Value?

“Move” is my favorite core value - Quarterra pushes their Associates to take initiative and take ownership. I feel empowered by our leadership to make informed decisions in my role and most importantly, to act on those decisions with support from our leadership. Quarterra continues to “move” towards opportunities that make us a better place to work and an even better place to live!

What are you most looking forward to in Quarterra’s future?

I am extremely excited to watch Quarterra’s footprint grow. I am ecstatic when travelling to new cities and spot a Quarterra community! Even more so, I love meeting the friendly faces in those communities that I helped hire before they became an Associate. Additionally, I enjoy fostering relationships between business partners in various departments. This allows us to be cohesive and strive towards a common goal – making Quarterra the best it can be!

Bio/Quarterra Accolades:

I was born and raised in Orange County, New York and later moved to South Carolina where I attended Clemson University. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Development Studies, I worked on the Development Team at the University prior to starting with Quarterra. I changed my major numerous times in college, but the underlying connection amongst them all was that I loved speaking with people and helping others. Fortunately, I get the satisfaction of supporting others achieve their dream job at Quarterra every day – It is a very fulfilling role! I now reside near Raleigh, North Carolina where I work from home with my husband, Jackson, and our mini goldendoodle, Bennett! I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with my virtual Associates and getting to work with them in-person during Team Summits - I hope to meet more of Quarterra’s Associates in the years to come!
