As Managing Director of Development, Ray Crocker leads the Southeast Division of Quarterra’ s development team on all new Multifamily Development. Ray is responsible for managing the division’s development team through all aspects of the development life cycle from sourcing land through lease-up.
During Ray’s 13-year tenure with Quarterra, Ray has completed 13 high-rise, mid-rise and garden style developments including over 3,700 units and over $1B in development cost. Before joining Quarterra in 2012, Ray worked as a development manager at Branch Properties and Highlands Residential where he developed over 700 multifamily units. Ray also worked as a program manager at Hal Gibson Companies where he developed over 1,100 beds of student housing as well as higher education lab and classroom buildings on campuses across the University System of Georgia. Ray’s 29-year career in construction and development includes 10 years of commercial construction management experience. Ray began his career as a construction project manager at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company managing construction of high-rise multifamily, commercial office, laboratory and higher education facilities. Ray graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction. Ray enjoys spending time with friends and family, University of Georgia football, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves as well as snow skiing, water sports, fishing, and boating.
