JR Plyler joined Quarterra in 2013 and has served on the Investments team in various capacities over his 12+ year tenure with the Company. JR currently serves as Senior Managing Director where he leads the centralized capital formation efforts, asset management, and portfolio management services across the entire multifamily platform.
He also serves on the Company’s investment committee. Since joining, JR has assisted in procuring $4.5 billion of external capital and growing multifamily AUM to over $15 billion. Prior to Quarterra, JR began his career in investment banking with Jefferies, LLC in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging group. During his time at Jefferies, JR was involved in public and private market capital raising, initial public offerings, and mergers & acquisitions for both public and private REITs and real estate companies across various real estate sectors. He was a student athlete, and graduated magna cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College with a degree in economics. JR lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and their three children.
