Chris Gillies

Chris is a 36-year veteran of the multifamily industry and has been involved in the development of over 6,650 apartment homes at a total cost of over $2 billion. Prior to joining Quarterra, Chris served in leadership positions with JPI, BRE Properties and Legacy Partners, as well as apartment brokerage at Grubb & Ellis Company. During the GFC, Chris founded his own development/management company focusing on distressed properties in the Colorado region. This venture culminated in the development and management of over 1,000 apartment homes along with assisting Quarterra in its initial efforts in the Colorado market. Chris holds a BSBA in Construction Management and an MBA from the University of Denver, both obtained under a full hockey scholarship. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado and active member of ULI. Chris also enjoys volunteering at Urban Peak, which is an established philanthropy in Denver supporting homeless youth. He and his wife, Trina, have been married 32 years and have four children. In his off time, Chris enjoys all things outdoors, including mountaineering, aviation, skiing, fishing and golf. And of course, hockey!
