Chris Cassidy has served as the East Region Executive Managing Director for Quarterra since August of 2022 overseeing all facets of multifamily development and construction. Prior to this role, Chris served as Quarterra's Southeast Division President from August of 2011 to August of 2022.
Chris is a 35-year veteran of the industry, and he has developed or acquired over 20,000 units at a total cost of over $5.25 billion. Chris served in a leadership position with Post Properties as a Vice President of Construction and then Vice President of Development before founding Highlands Residential in Atlanta, GA in 1998. From 1998 until 2005, Highlands developed, financed constructed or asset managed approximately 4,500 units and over a quarter million square feet of retail space adjacent to or vertically integrated within their communities. In 2005, Chris sold Highlands to a regional commercial investment firm in pursuit of diversifying their portfolio of retail shopping centers to a focus on developing multifamily residential, grocery anchored retail, and vertically integrated mixed-use communities. From 2005 until 2008, Chris served as Partner and Executive Vice President and Director of Development. Chris holds a Bachelor of Building Science degree from Auburn University and currently lives in Boca Raton, FL with his wife and family. Chris is a Member of the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board, Past President of the Auburn University Building Science Alumni Association and Former Board Member of Interfaith Outreach Home.
