Brad Machat is a Senior Director at Quarterra overseeing the Pacific Northwest market, including multifamily development activity in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. He has been with Quarterra since July 2016, initially as Development Manager overseeing day-to-day development before growing into his current role in 2022.
In his position, Brad is responsible for managing the Pacific Northwest development team and pipeline, which includes new acquisitions, entitlements and permitting, financing, construction and disposition efforts. He has successfully completed developments totaling over 1,750 units and more than $700 million in project costs. Currently, he is overseeing 800 units with development budget exceeding $400 million under construction, with an additional 1,000 units across four communities in pre-development between Oregon and Washington. Brad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Portland State University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Quarterra, Brad work for Mack Urban managing multifamily development projects in Seattle, after starting his career building custom homes in Virginia. He resides in Seattle, WA with his wife and two daughters, enjoying outdoor activities such as skiing and mountain biking.
